Safety & Security

In order to protect the safety of users on MathsZone, the following steps are taken:

  1. Acceptable Use Policy: All users must sign up to the Site’s Acceptable Use Policy as part of the purchase/registration process; this is used to govern the behaviour of users on the Site. To read a full copy of the Acceptable Use Policy click here.
  2. Communication: Registered users are not able to communicate privately with one another on the Site. The only private communication that can take place is between users and the team of Coaches.
  3. Coaches: All of the Coaches are CRB-checked (enhanced status) and a record of the messages they send to users and transcripts of their live Coaching sessions are kept. These records are monitored on a regular basis.
  4. Monitoring content: The Coaches monitor the content of posts in the community discussion forums (except for school communities, which are the responsibility of the school/college). Posts are not approved before they are published live on the Site. However, should a post contravene the Acceptable Use Policy then it will be deleted and sanctions may be taken against the User; this could include suspension or exclusion from the Site.
  5. Reporting issues: Users can report posts that they are unhappy with by sending a message to the Coaches or by using the ‘Feedback’ link, which is accessible from every page in MathsZone.
